On 17th July 2018, Louis was discussant at one of the new VNR (Voluntary National Review) LABs organised by UN DESA during the High Level Political Forum 2018 in New York. Through a video connection he reacted from Brussels to the presentations about institutional modernisation for the SDGs made by among others Germany, Cabo Verde, Greece, and the City of New York. The meeting was moderated by prof. Geert Bouckaert from Leuven University. Geert and Louis are currently both vice chairs of the UN Committee of Experts on Public Administration.
